Air traffic controllers at Liege Airport as well as the technical services of Belgocontrol decided to join the national strike announced for Thursday 22 December 2011.

This means that air traffic services cannot be ensured at Liege Airport starting Wednesday 21 December, 22.00 hours until Thursday 22 December 2011, 22.00 hours (local time). Since Belgocontrol has not received until now any other official information, air traffic control services at the other airports and at the national air traffic control centre should be provided as usual. However, actions cannot be totally excluded and their possible impact on air traffic cannot be assessed for the time being.
