The air traffic control of the Antwerp airport handles about 75,000 movements a year, which, in terms of movements, puts this airport in third place, after Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Mainly scheduled and commercial flights are handled here, but also training and pleasure flights. Until now the air traffic control was also responsible for the practical training of Dutch speaking IFR air traffic controllers. The meteorological service ensures the meteo briefing of the pilots.
The technical staff members of the Engineering service are responsible for carrying out the maintenance of the communication, navigation and surveillance equipment.
